A couple of weeks ago we wrapped up the busiest FABTECH Show we have ever had in Chicago. According to the FABTECH website, the 2023 show welcomed 40,505 attendees — a 26% year-over-year gain in attendance compared to the 2022 event in Atlanta and a 40% increase compared to the 2021 event in Chicago. We can't wait to start solving production pains and boosting welding productivity for all of you who came to us seeking solutions at the show.

If you inquired about any product at the show, our dedicated technical sales team has likely already been in touch with you or will be in touch shortly. A huge thanks to all those who stopped by to see us at the show. We look forward to seeing you again at FABTECH Orlando next year in October!

Visitors to our FABTECH booth may have noticed a couple familiar faces missing at the show this year. Wire Wizard President Brian Cooper and Operations Director Nick Zieman, along with Wizard Wizard Europe Product Manager Anne van Loon, were busy helping man our other booth over in Europe at the Schweissen & Schneiden show in Essen, Germany. This is a large international show that takes place every four years (and just happened to be scheduled the same week as FABTECH!), and it's also the first year we have had a dedicated Wire Wizard booth. Like FABTECH Chicago, this was also a busy show and we're excited to help tackle tough welding challenges across the pond with our partners over in Europe and elsewhere overseas!

FABTECH attendees came to us with a variety of production pains that have been hindering their productivity this year. Here are three we heard often that we can help solve through welding optimization and high performance, American-made products:

Poor Consumable Life
As the industry evolves to become more and more automated with robots and cobots, many FABTECH attendees were shopping around for the longest-lasting welding consumables to keep their production lines running without downtime due to excessive burn-backs & other problems. PowerBall® Torch Products provide extended consumable life with consistent arc stability. Contact your Wire Wizard Technical Sales Expert to arrange a torch or consumable trial.

Wire Delivery Issues
In case you haven't heard, we specialize in this area! We had a lot of questions regarding both robotic systems as well as wire delivery systems for welding booms & submerged arc applications. The Wire Guide Module® System has revolutionized wire delivery in industrial arc welding, and the Wire Pilot® Feed Assist is an excellent solution for long distance feeding as well as large wire. On the other end of the feeder, low friction PowerBall® Torch Liners provide smooth wire delivery to the arc.

Excess Spatter & Nozzle Cleaning
A number of visitors to our booth were seeking solutions to problems with excess spatter and more efficient ways to keep their torch nozzles clean. The new & impoved Torch Wizard® Nozzle Cleaning Stations along with Blue Magic® Anti-spatter provide a reliable and effective way to keep nozzles spatter-free. Torch Wizard® Cleaning Stations were not only featured in our booth, they were also chosen for other robotic displays at FABTECH by our friends at FANUC, Kawasaki Robotics and APT Manufacturing Solutions.
