What's the difference between a basic and optimized wire delivery system? In many robotic applications, a non-optimized system can result in excess downtime and poor welding performance. In a basic or traditional setup, steps are not often taken to minimize the friction on the wire, resulting in multiple points of high friction. Some wire delivery setups can also pose electrical and fire safety hazards by using quick disconnects without a protective insulator or fiber drums without fire resistant covers when located near the arc.
