ELIMINATES WIRE SKID FRICTION & ENABLES LONGER CONDUIT RUNS!

  • Uses a series of rollers with bearings to allow the weld wire to “coast” around bends and corners in the conduit, eliminating the points of high skid friction that occur in these areas
  • In product testing, the Wire Guide Module turned POUNDS of pull force at the feeder into OUNCES!
  • Allows long distance conduit runs of 100 ft+
  • Increases life of the conduit by reducing friction
  • Considerably less expensive than alternative methods of eliminating friction on wire over long distances, such as roller-style conduit
  • May be mounted to the drum cover, on the weld cell, or in-line - full selection of installation parts and accessories available (see examples below)
  • Each 45° Wire Guide Module may be connected to additional modules to form turns of 90°, 135°, 180° or custom turns within the wire dispensing system
  • Compatible with both ferrous & non-ferrous wire
  • 3 YEAR GUARANTEE!
(excludes damage caused by industrial contaminants)

WIRE GUIDE MODULE APPLICATIONS
Semi-Automatic Welding Example:
Semi-Automatic with 3/32" (2.4mm) steel cored wire, 20 ft (6m) distance
Before: Conduit from wire package exited at a sharp angle, causing excess friction on the wire. This resulted in poor wire feeding which led to poor quality welds.

Wire Pull Test Before Installation:
2.4 lbs (1.1 kg)
After: A 135° set of Guide Modules were installed on the drum cover, creating a smooth turn and reducing friction dramatically. In addition to the improved wire feeding, weld quality also improved greatly with better weld bead widths.

Wire Pull Test After Installation:
6 oz (0.2 kg)

Robotic Application Example:
Robotic Cell with .052 (1.3mm) steel wire, 25 ft (7.6m) distance

Before: Conduit run from the wire package directly to the robot, with three turns going into the weld cell causing excess friction.

Wire Pull Test Before Installation:
8 lbs (3.6 kg)

After: Two 90° Guide Modules were installed outside the cell and one 45° inside the cell going to the robot. Friction on the wire was reduced considerably. Pounds of pull force on the wire turned into ounces!

Wire Pull Test After Installation:
12 oz (0.34 kg)

Pull tests on the wire were done with the Wire Wizard® Wire Draw Gauge (Model WWPT)
Distances measured between the wire package and feeder.
